Sole 44hp inboard diesel engine installed new in 2018. Shaft drive to 3 blade feathering propeller. 84 litre fuel tank. Cruising speed under engine is around 6 knots.

Electrical

Alternator charging to 2 x 12v batteries (110 Amp/hr each). 240v shore power. Solar panel.

Navigation

Compass, Garmin Echo Map DV chart plotter with depth sounder, DSC VHF radio, Autohelm 4000 autopilot, barometer, navigation lights, steaming light, tri-colour light and anchor light.

Safety

Jackstay lifelines on side decks, danbuoy, 4 lifejackets (2024), 4 safety harnesses, coastal pack of distress flares (2024), 5 fire extinguishers, 1 auto engine bay fire extinguisher, rope cutter n propeller, manual bilge pump.

Deck Gear

Stainless steel pushpit, pulpit and guardwires, sprayhood, dodgers, boarding ladder, wheel steering, spinnaker pole, 2 sheet winches, 2 halyard winches, CQR main anchor with chain and warps, manual anchor windlass, kedge anchor with chain and warp, 8 mooring warps and 6 fenders.

Sails

Slab reefing mainsail (2012 approx). Genoa roller reefing system with furling genoa (2012 approx). Alloy mast and boom. Her stainless steel standing rigging was renewed in 2020/1.

Domestic

She has Eberspacher hot air heating fitted 2019. Her galley has a gas cooker with 2 burners, oven and grill, ice box, refrigerator, cold water supply to the sink is from a fixed cold water tank. Separate heads compartment has a marine toilet & wash basin. Maroon fabric upholstery with curtains and carpets.

ACCOMMODATION:

She has 7 berths including 2 “V” berths in the separate forward cabin, her saloon table lowers to form a double berth with a single berth aft of the galley and 2 single berths in her separate aft cabin.

REMARKS

"Balki" was purchased by her present owners in 2014, a professional survey was carried out at the time. She was very sound but needed a full refurbishment. Her owners have gradually upgraded and improved her whilst sailing her every Summer, including the fitting of a new engine, full re-paint, new upholstery, fitting heating, changing the standing rigging and much more. She looks like an excellent example.
